The weirdest thing I see from supposedly rational people is complaining about the brexit no-deal spending and saying things like "1.5 billion pounds for nothing!"
Planning for no-deal was the least-worst part of brexit. It's sensible for a govt to prepare for a high-risk low-probability scenario.
People should be complaining about the overall costs of brexit, which knocked off a double-digit percentage from the UK economy. That's orders of magnitude higher.
