What you're referring to as Linux, is in fact, WindowsNT/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, Windows plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning Windows system made useful by the Windows system libraries, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by Microsoft.
On attitudes toward piracy
In the 90's, there was no moral panic about recording a TV show or a song from the radio
You could hook up your VCR to the TV, wait for your fave show to be broadcast, push "record" and keep it forever and nobody would bat an eyelash
It was even common to share them
And it's kind of jarring how the mainstream orthodox position these days is that pirating is like deeply morally wrong—we've embraced corporate rent-seeking behaviour so much that we police it ourselves
Delighted to see the release of the new privacy-friendly keys.openpgp.org keyserver, which finally fixes a number of serious issues in the aged SKS network. The new server finally lets you replace or delete your keys and has separation of key and identity data!
Just discovered CryptPad via the FLOSS Weekly podcast. Basically, Google docs without privacy concerns.
CryptPad in their own words:
"CryptPad is a private-by-design alternative to popular office tools and cloud services. All the content stored on CryptPad is encrypted before being sent, which means nobody can access your data unless you give them the keys (not even us)."
It's also Free software.
Better still CryptPad is on the Fediverse:

It is proven! I am notopygos on Keybase: https://keybase.io/notopygos/sigchain#702b77acd88767d3570c636a23d05268441f17f1f972ba2ef65c428598e89f0a0f
Notopygos is a randomly choosen word from some wikipedia page, I like the idea of using pseudonym on the Internet.
