Do you already now “I have read and agree to the Terms” is the biggest lie on the web. We [terms of service: didn't read] aim to fix that.

@krobin I used to love how my bank would frequently have "Your banking agreement with CIBC has changed. Press this button to continue" at the teller machines. To get at my money I had to technically agree to an update I couldn't even see at that terminal. Also doesn't an "agreement" require two parties? I can never understand how this is legal, because it's not even grammatically sensical.

@dlek 🤦‍♀️ Did you ever try to get your money at a counter and discuss about your consent/agreement with them? At least make them explain what they changed? In Germany most (or a lot of) ATMs are still at bank branches where you could interact with a human during the day. I recently received ~40 printed pages of updated tos from my bank.

@krobin To be honest I never even tried. I have never had any faith that bank would ever take such inquiries or concerns seriously. I have long since switched banks.
