it works less well for something like chemistry where you need hands-on lab experience, as fume hoods and equipment and glassware are ridiculously expensive.

@carcinopithecus @pzmyers not even close in price, animar historically of cost about $100,000 per hundred megahertz and another hundred grand for the probe. most of your cheaper equipment like your uv-vis and IR will be in the $40,000 price range.
