Soo I am starting a new project, It's about Addictive Apps. It's a list of addictive apps, their strategies and ways to make you spend more time, and money and how they directly and indirectly effect your mental, physical, social and even financial health! I just came up with a simple github page now, Please contribute to this because as for as I can tell there's no such proper list for documenting addictive platforms and their destructive practices

Was trying to explain to the boy I flogged tonight that he didn't *have* to be tough, didn't have to fight the release of grief. It's not a contest; there are no prizes for taking a certain level of pain or impact. It's about giving him space to feel.
There are damned few contexts in life where it's okay to experience pain, sadness, anger, longing, etc. To really inhabit that feeling, to express it openly, and to have it recognized and accepted by someone close to you.
After yesterday, I'm tempted to share this link yet again...

Yes: The Linux kernel, GCC, GNU LibC, Bash, CoreUtils, etc do appear to be caught up in this. Certainly Linux... I don't know about the rest of our stack...

Since Bannon, the Breitbart guy who specialised in getting people angry online using far right memes, was also deeply interested in making money out of videogaming
one might well ask:
what was he doing around 2014, the time when suddenly videogamers started getting extremely angry and extremely far right online?

"In many countries, websites, social media and blogs are controlled by oppressive leaders. [...]
But even where almost all media is blocked or controlled, the world’s most successful computer game is still accessible.
Reporters Without Borders (RSF) uses this loophole to bypass internet censorship to bring back the truth – within Minecraft."
Ok so what in the heck were Amazon and Gillian "Gone Girl" Flynn doing, releasing "Utopia" in September 2020?
Not September 2019, when it would have been unfortunate but bad timing. But September 2020.
This TV show must have done so much to promote COVID anti-vaccine hysteria. How could that not have been obvious to all concerned?
Or *was* it obvious and they just... didn't care?
